And they should've left WLW's letter for a few more days. People who read at breakfast could've missed out. It's pathetic.

I think someone should take THEM down!

Nobody yet tried calling the textline. Perhaps it's too late now.

i did once; i got cut off by that mad "this number is not available message"

I'm pretty annoyed at the teletext bosses; it's like they were dancing on Zine's grave with that message.
Aside from the news pages, how many other teletext pages lasted as long as the Zine did????

So, that's it folks.
An explanation about the 'Zine's abrupt disappearance... i would have liked the final edition to stay up for at least 24 hours but this giraffe doesn't have the same might he once did. The hamsters wanted to take down the 'Zine on the day of the 18th - so at least we had a small victory in keeping it up until (admittedly early on) the 19th.

yeah, it was a shame they did that. You'd think they would have left it up for at least a day. After all, 'Zine was there for 16 years. Whats one more day?

Sad to see it all end for you WLW. Hope you're alright

I reasoned that you squeezed as many final 'Zines out of it as you could. Thanks for all your hard work, WLW, and I'm sure I can represent the collective when wishing you all the best for the future.

It's good to see an explanation, i'm nosy like that.

But it's sad that WLW doesn't have as much might, but he will also be mighty to me (and also to Ziners and VRers).

Zine is no more. Teletext got rid of it and sacked WLW.

Rayanne Graff: His name is George. Also, he started Spam.
Rayanne Graff: i spoke to him a couple of times and that was in October of 2009.
the doc: Wow, a proper old head
Rayanne Graff: Yeah, he was the 15th person to join.
satansrubberduck: I didn't directly start Spam. Also the proof of that long since disappeared.
Rayanne Graff: No, it didn't; the Spam spam spam you made in 2002 is on page 105 of the Spam board.
satansrubberduck: Oh. I looked for it years ago and couldn't find it. The colour tags are (thankfully) broken.
satansrubberduck: Odd to think it's been over a decade since I first got involved with 'Zine.
Claire: It's not odd to me since I've just had the exact same conversation with you...
I Cunt Spell: YOU'RE ALL OLD
I Cunt Spell: SO VERY VERY OLD
Captain Stupendo: SRD made an appearence holy moly haven't seen him on here for years
Maeby: JIM!
the doc: Wow, event Starws isn't here tonight
the doc: Straws ^
the doc: *whistles*
the doc: Ah well, off I go as well then
Rayanne Graff: Sorry, Stu; i was busy tidying things. xx
