£20 To Get Home - Neil Landstrumm and Si Begg

2 heavyweights of electronica collide and the results are magnificent. More dubstep than breaks but the bass is ridiculous and unmistakenly Mr Begg.

Fortune Green - Bocum Welt

A very simplistic track but the central melody is just absolutely beautiful and so melancholy it's untrue. One to drift away to...

Don't Ask Me to Forgive You - Bass Clef

Another dubstep track but this more Boxcutter than Skream with real attention to detail in the percussion and general flow of the tune.
I hope some day, for some reason, David Duchovny is investigated by the FBI. Because that would make a great story.

Lost Son by Richmond Fontaine

My favourite album of theirs, I think, and when I was talking to Dave harding (their bassist) the other night he said it's his as well so I'm in good company

The Lemonheads

Self-titled masterwork from 2006. Everything that's good about Dando is here. Not only that, he's got two of the Descendents as his backing band and Mascis does a turn on lead guitar too

Clark - Growls Garden

Rough, unrelenting electronica with a nice central melody that flitters in and out of the mix.

Frog Pocket - Oben

Gorgeous guitar-led electronica with glitchy, snatchy beats. Too short though!

Leftfield - Swords

'Rhythm and Stealth' was an underrated album, largely because Leftism was so terrific and this track's a real grower, even if the lyrics are a little meaningless and cheesy.

The Tuss - Untitled

Another Aphex alias and this is a cracking little 2 minute track with a silly but amusing melody and simple beat.

I seriously f*cking LOVE Dream Theater now. Definitly the best band that I've had forced on me

This Heat - Horizontal Hold

The Peel session version is just ludicrous. I imagine it would be a lot of fun to play.

Da Antidote - Stanton Warriors

Ridiculously good breakbeat with a stirring electro hook and nice crisp production.

Flashback - The Chemical Brothers

B-Side to 'Hey Boy Hey Girl' from their Surrender album and betterthan the A-side, which is saying a lot. Creepy and futuristic in equal measure.

Ton Of Brix - Tipper

From 'Tip-Hop' and funky as it gets with trademark scratching and glitchy rhythms.

Rayanne Graff: His name is George. Also, he started Spam.
Rayanne Graff: i spoke to him a couple of times and that was in October of 2009.
the doc: Wow, a proper old head
Rayanne Graff: Yeah, he was the 15th person to join.
satansrubberduck: I didn't directly start Spam. Also the proof of that long since disappeared.
Rayanne Graff: No, it didn't; the Spam spam spam you made in 2002 is on page 105 of the Spam board.
satansrubberduck: Oh. I looked for it years ago and couldn't find it. The colour tags are (thankfully) broken.
satansrubberduck: Odd to think it's been over a decade since I first got involved with 'Zine.
Claire: It's not odd to me since I've just had the exact same conversation with you...
