SSN now reporting that Chelsea have bid £73.5m for Kaka.

Ancelotti did say that there was one player he wanted to take with him, but I thought he meant Pato as Kaka seemed too obvious.

Dismissed as b*ll*cks straight away by the rentboys themselves. I have to say it sounds ridiculous. If Madrid have had a bid of £60m or thereabouts accepted (which it appears they have) why would Chelsea bother gazumping them by £15m or so? Surely all they'd have to do was match the other bid.

Looks like Setanta are about to go the way of ITV Digital

ESPN Europe here we come, then. I didn't realise the cancellation of the Haye-Klitschko fight was linked to this as the article implies, but it makes sense. Expect to be charged £20 by Sky for the rearranged bout later on in the year.

I won't miss Setanta's sh*te signal, crap picture quality, scouse pundits or its 80s jingles, but it's basically carte blanche for Sky to push up their prices. Can see Premiership Plus making a comeback unless ESPN step in to fill the void. Not looking forward to Sky Box Office picking up their boxing either. More importantly, the SPL clubs dependent on Setanta dosh would also be in a tight spot, though to be honest I don't know the full implications of that.

On the upside, Steve Mcmanananananaman will be out of a job, hopefully for good.

Ugh, not looking forward to how this is going to further f*ck up the smaller SPL clubs. £300,000 is a massive amount of money to Falkirk or Hamilton Academicals.

Also, Notts County are on the verge of an Arab buyout. A mate of mine out £30 on them to get promoted next season at 33/1. Now it's down to 16/1.

Scousers covering themselves in glory again

I notice it says 'John Power' in the tag cloud below. Can anyone tell if that's actually him? I bet the press would be very interested if it was.

Kaka has had his medical at Madrid, apparently, and they've offered £57m... apparently.

£57m! I don't think any player is worth that amount of money, even Ronaldo or Messi, and I put those two a good way in front of Kaka. Kaka's good, but bloody hell, not that good.

He took a kicking for his troubles, I know that much, and that was off other scousers.

According to Sky Sports News we've accepted an £80m offer for Ronaldo from Real Madrid...We've released a statement and it's now just down to Real to agree terms with him...

£80m...staggering. Hopefully this'll mean we pay the money for Tevez.
I hope some day, for some reason, David Duchovny is investigated by the FBI. Because that would make a great story.

F*ck off, Tevez is f*cking sh*t and while Im at it, so is Berbatov. If he agrees we've just sold the best player we've had in the past 30 years, to pay interest on a f*cking loan. I f*cking hate my club, they can all get to f*ck.

I'll be disappointed to see Ronaldo go for sure, just look at his contribution over the last few years, he's been magnificent and I doubt we'll sign Tevez up properly so rest at ease on that one, Phil. I'm just disappointed Ronaldo wants to go tbh...

With the financial situation the club's in, it's quite a surprise people are already creaming themselves regarding the massive shopping spree United will be on this summer but I just can't see it, I can maybe see Tevez being signed up now and maybe one other player but that's about it. I stick by my guns on Tevez though; I love him to bits. Berba can f*ck off though.

Rayanne Graff: Yeah, he was the 15th person to join.
satansrubberduck: I didn't directly start Spam. Also the proof of that long since disappeared.
Rayanne Graff: No, it didn't; the Spam spam spam you made in 2002 is on page 105 of the Spam board.
satansrubberduck: Oh. I looked for it years ago and couldn't find it. The colour tags are (thankfully) broken.
satansrubberduck: Odd to think it's been over a decade since I first got involved with 'Zine.
Claire: It's not odd to me since I've just had the exact same conversation with you...
