I thought lifeblood was a tad dull and too synthesised for what I like from the manics
Recored in NYC and produced by Tony Visconti of Bowie fame. That explains all!

It just didn't feel like the manics, I much preferred know your enemy. But I'll give it another couple of goes. It took me 4 attempts before I 'got' OK Computer.

I don't dislike Know Your Enemy but it's not really something you listen to for leisure - A bit too long; gets a little tedious. It's no Sandinista!, though; that's a f*cking chore.
Lifeblood's fine for me.

I can certainly see how lifeblood would make good background music. I just liked the strangeness of KYE on first listen more than lifebloods 'smoothness'.

Not a fan of KYE at all (or
Lifeblood
for that matter), apart from the odd couple of songs. That's why the new record was such a nice surprise cos everything after
Everything Must Go
has just been one miserable downward spiral.
