How on earth did Mirrored by Battles make it into so many end of year lists? It's apalling.

Yes, it is. Almost as boring as the last Interpol album. F*ck knows how Battles could be so poor when their lead guitarist was in the excellent Don Caballero.

What's a little sin to see us through?

Got a Specials singles album for £1.99 in Oxfam the other day, also Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos, Fine Lines by My Vitriol (remember them? Tremendous band), How Strange, Innocence by Explosions in the Sky and Watch the Fireworks by Emma Pollock.

Whiskey, painkillers and speed will carry me there.....
