Resurrecting Old ThreadsIf you are browsing through the archives of this board and see a thread you wish to comment in please stop and think about these things first:
1) Check the date of the last post. If it it is older than 3 months, don't post in it. Any revived threads will be locked immediately,
2) Check the subject of the thread. If you feel you have something to add to it and the thread is still valid (ie not something related to the news, or a member who has since left) - please start a new thread and link the old one in your post. To link just copy the URL in the address bar.
NOTE: If the date of the last post is before 1st January 2007 do not revive it without asking a moderator first. These threads are part of VR's history and should be left alone.
Post Content Rules:Bypassing the language filters is not big, and it's not clever. The filters are there for a reason, many members access VR from shared computers at school, or a library. If VR has all sorts of swear words on it, then it will be blocked at these places. This would be a Very Bad Thing™. There are only a few words filtered, so you may not even notice the language filter at all.
If you want to post something a little more risqué, please mark the thread as NSSW (Not Suitable for School or Work) - Giving people who don't want to see such content ample warning.
Signature and Avatar Rules:SignaturesMaximum image width is 400 pixels
Max image height is 80 pixels (with text)
Max image height is 100 pixels (without text)
Max file size is 100kB
Signatures shouldn't have more than one line of blank space between each line.
AvatarsMax size is 100x100 pixels. Images bigger than this will be scaled down.
Max file size is 100KB.
Also, be sensible with what you pick. P*rn, nudity and profanity shouldn't be in images.
Please do not hotlink avatars and signatures from other sites. Instead, save them to your computer then upload them to our gallery, and link to your picture there.
We're not going to nazi-esquely impose these restrictions on people, for example, if someone does go over them, but only by a small (or what the mod team consider to be a reasonable amount) then nothing will be done or said, if however the image is greatly outside these specs then we request you please either remove or change the image.
We may (or may not) give people random PMs to ask them to change stuff as I see the offending sig. But if yours is over, it would be great if you could be all co-operative and either resize it or dump it.
Cheers,
VR Mod Team
