Chapel Club deserve success

Thanks to PS for the Chapel Club interview. Any band that can sing "Bodies swinging in the sycamore trees/ Dream a little dream of me" on their debut single and get away with it deserves more exposure. Nicko

Perhaps one of the farewell features on PS should be a rundown of all the albums given 10/10 rating. That'd be a pretty short feature... Vegi

Earls: And our 10/10 albums would be... oh, we've run out of space. Sorry.

Today Is Not My Day

Today, I did the following:

* Impaled my foot on a hairbrush when getting out of bed.
* Accidentally drank dandelion and bleurgh-dock instead of Coke.
* Spilt curry down my (white) shirt at work.

I think I'd better go to bed.

The Little Silver Moonbaby

NEVER wear a white shirt to eat curry- Granny WLW will not be impressed.

Borrell's Libertines claim laughable

Johnny Borrell's claim that he hellped The Libertines make it is laughable. Everyone knows he deserted them in their hour of need. Bradders

Earls' feature on setting up his new record label WET was written with the same open, all-welcoming passion for music that Planet Sound has offered since I can remember. You'll be sadly missed, and I wish everyone involved all the very best for the future. Neil Condron

Any more rediscovered bands?

I've got Skunk Anansie's new Best Of album. What other bands have Voiders rediscovered lately? Gothic Fairy

The gravity of PS closing was brought home to me today when I checked the BBC's Ceefax section. It had one album review and one feature- on Snow Patrol. Please keep us informed on any online music site you do, as you'll be sorely missed. John Ox

Earls: No plans for anything online just yet, sorry...

What Is Going On?

I was in the kitchen tonight, looking for something that I could eat, and I stumbled across something strange... peaches pickled in PEAR juice.

My question is why? Isn't peach juice juice good enough for peaches? Is there a worldwide peach juice shortage? Help me, WLW! It looks like a peach and tastes like a pear. I'm confused and my head is hurting.

Completely Underwhelmed

Fruit? You were thinking of fruit? Nothing in the biccie tin?

1 Peanut butter and jam
2 Turkey and tomato
3 Nutella

Best and worst...

My favourite film ever is The Usual Suspects (1995), and the worst is Titanic (1997). Also, a film I discovered from Vortex was Feed. People were saying that it was disgusting so I ordered it from HMV the next day. Matthew, Sheffield

Just To Let You Know I'm Still Alive And Bored

I had a dream last night where Noel and Liam Gallagher were singing a Beatles song while together and on a boogie board, in heavy waves and a storm just off the coast of Brittany.

What's that about? Obviously uni life (and no Zine) is getting to me.

Pablo Marmite

I dreamt I had tea with Russell Watson, now what's THAT all about?

Crinkle-CutBeatroot Fancy a game of Pontoon, WLW? Hey- I'm not playing with a full deck!

And I'm hiding an ace, where you'll never find it.

Genius At Work No, don't leave now, I feel we've bonded.

Yes, but unless you loosen this rubber band and sticky tape concoction, I'm calling the cops.

The Brat Princess I'm not scared of butterflies, WLW. I just think I'd freak out if, say, 56008347 of the things attacked me.

Think we all would!

Best shock ending?

Best shock ending is No Way Out. It's an underrated gem from way back when Costner could do no wrong. Nicko, Derby

I suspect that the liberties taken with the established Trek timeline by J.J Abrams in Star Trek are so as to enable an eventual confrontation between the best Trek crew and the best Trek villains- the Borg. Matth, Wakefield

Favourite film- Scanners (198). Worst film- Mamma Mia (2008). Ross, Norwich

My School

There is a Lucozade machine that didn't work for the first month it was here, a teacher that looks like Oz from Buffy, a disturbingly painted corridor (bright orange, it's bright orange!), a computer room with 2 working computers and girls that don't want anything to do with me.

Roll on, university.

The Yorkie Bar Kid

I don't think uni is the answer- a fast car or money maybe, not uni.

Worst film decade ever

With the exception of Mulholland Drive, Ghost World and Inglourious B*sterds the '00s have been the worst decade of film in history. Nick, London

The Coen Brothers are overrated. Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? was irritating, No Country For Old Men boring, and the less said about their Ladykillers remake the better. Also why on movie almost every year? Give us a break, guys! PS. I'm going to miss Vortex. Nick Johnson

A Poem

A little alliteration never did any harm,
And the odd rhyme here or there adds so much
Bt abbreviations jst wnt do
'Cos they don't really help the poem stick like glue.

Th@ Girl

Sweet, concise, rhymes, no naughty words... perfect.

Jimmy: Holy sh*t everything's Barry.
Steve-Dave: Everything's better!
Puffalump: Barrier
Steve-Dave: The Barryest it's ever been
Jimmy: I can't wait for more "Important Barry and changes"
Steve-Dave: Well there will be some Barry and changes coming soon, because we need more donations. It no longer just takes £10 a year to help Barry survive
Steve-Dave: It takes like... £13
Steve-Dave: Barry has to walk 5 metres to his car every day... just to go to work and earn money for DVDs and comic books
Steve-Dave: His eyesight is so bad... that he has to wear glasses. Stylish rimless glasses which cost €250
Steve-Dave: His living space is so cramped... that h had to put his workout bench in the garage meaning he doesn't really use it any more
Steve-Dave: But for just €13 a year... You can help Barry afford a DVD that he heard was good but has been out for a while so it's not as expensive as new DVDs
Steve-Dave: Please... Give generously... And help save this poor man's DVD shelf from not being completely full because it just looks weird when it's nearly full. I mean, when it's half full, that's fine. But when there's only a few gaps left... it just looks kinda sad.... y'know
Steve-Dave: Thank you
Rayanne Graff: It scares me when people refer to themselves in the third person.
Steve-Dave: It scares Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. too
Steve-Dave: Like my Grandfather, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII Esq. always said: "Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq. gets scared when people refer to themselves in the third person, and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq. promises to never do that"
Steve-Dave: And like my twin brother, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. (or Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. for short) says: "Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. doesn't like when people refer to themselves in the third person. You and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. must have gotten that from our grandfather, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq."
Rayanne Graff: You nerds crack me up.
Steve-Dave: Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. all try our best
Rayanne Graff: ... in the pants department.
