Hey WLW

I have become heartily sick of staring at the walls of my room and so I decided to provide some facts you probably didn't want to know about me!

I predicted Tim Henman would not win Wimbledon.
My aunt knows Trisha off the TV.
I share my birthday with Prince Philip, Liz Hurley and David Platt.
I like the new song by The Streets.
My mom once served Vera Duckworth in Tesco.
samurai hedgehog

You predicted Tim Henman wouldn't win Wimbledon? Wow- you're a veritable genius.

Ziners

As this is my first letter to Zine, I would like to add my own psychotic ramblings to the ever fantastic Poetry Corner.

She stood on the bridge at midnight,
Her lips were all a-quiver.
She gave a cough,
Her leg fell off,
And floated down the river.

More power to the goats!
Psychotic Goat Overlord

One of the most disturbing efforts yet. But welcome all the same.

Forsooth Dr Nick

I am greatly perturbed that DrNick's erudite, concise and educated tome, Living With A Willy, has not made the Sunday Times' Bestseller list.

This is scandalous. A book as highly regarded and enthusiastically read as this should have a place in every bookshop throughout the land and should be required reading for the nation.

Alert your MPs forthwith.
The Brigadier

I'm waiting for that movie- I believe Disney has the option.

Spandorexxa You don't see generosity like this often. At Iceland you do!

Stop that. Stop that now! That guy's voice is irritating beyond belief.

Ammopogo Being a woman is so much better than being a man because we're not men, OK?

Fine. No argument then.

Metamorphic Mongoose Hey WLW, we all fancy you in Ingatestone. Come and visit, we'll make it worthwhile!

I've got my A-Z at the ready, packed my lunch, just have to find Ingatestone.

Hey Hey!

Can anyone explain to me why all the slugs and snails come out when it rains?

Do they not know that they will only get trodden on? And why they make such a noise when you step on them?

Slugs and snails, for yours and our sakes, don't do it. Thank you.
Coca-Koala

Playtime would be considerably dull for Mavis, without them.

What? Indie?

WLW, don't you think it's strange that Travis and Scooter are in the Indie chart, despite being totally different?

Oh, I get it, they're both rubbish!
Rustiredd The Squirrel Warrior

What a right old mess the charts are in if that's the best Indie can offer!

Zine

I recently delved into the randomly spelt and abbreviated world of the internet, and discovered some quite interesting things.

Not only am I not the only person in the world who likes Michelle Branch, I'm not the only person who hates the third Jurassic Park film. I'm yet to find a website dedicated to blue paint however, which is what I was really looking for.
Mr Robofish

Www.peoplewhatlikepaint.com. OK, that was just a guess. I'm sorry.

Family Announcements

This morning, I found that our goldfish. Bob Flapper, had died. Usually, this sort of thing wouldn't get to me but I was very close to that fish. We went everywhere together.

But now, since little fishy Bob has gone to that big fishbowl in the sky, I don't have a clue what to do with my life. So, I'm going to put a brave face on and try to get over this trauma. Thank you for your time.
Big Bob Flapper

I think we all speak for all of us when I say- we share your pain, Biggy.

Hats. People should wear more hats. Not only would the phrase "I take my hat off to you, sir" make sense, but also everyone would become politer, almost genteel.

Next topic, gloves.
Heroine Chic

Or pants. Everyone should wear pants! Oh wait, that's been done already.

Mistoflees Dear Dr Nick, I am in love with James from Pokemon. I love his sparkling eyes and his sexy blue hair. Could he ever love me? Oops, sorry, wrong page.

Very much wrong page!

Satan's Rubber Duck Can you print this quickly, please? Soon, they're gonna realise I'm missing.

Hello? Police?

Dear WLW

Whatever happened to the wonderful beverage that was TAB, the clear cola? I have one theory that some sort of alien mongoose stole it all, but I have yet to prove it.

Who knows? You decide.
Jungles Jim

I never tried it, but you know what? I buy that mongoose theory.

Welcome back to Starsailor, one of the best yet least-recognised bands of this decade. I hope their album All The Plans does what Elbow's fourth album did for them. As for best cartoon themes, I vote for Danger Mouse and Taz. Dionne Jones

Now that Deadmartyr has discovered The Comsat Angels via The Void, I suggest he tries some classic-period Echo & The Bunnymen albums like Crocodiles, Heaven Up Here and Porcupines. John Griffiths

It's brilliant that U2's new single has only reached No 12. Maybe people are finally seeing the light. They had some decent '90s stuff, but the recent songs are garbage.

Also, what is Earls thinking to only give 5/10 to Filthy Dukes' new single? I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he had an off-day when reviewing it. Give it another go. As for The View, Kyle's voice helps them stand out. Ron Nonymous

Jimmy: Holy sh*t everything's Barry.
Steve-Dave: Everything's better!
Puffalump: Barrier
Steve-Dave: The Barryest it's ever been
Jimmy: I can't wait for more "Important Barry and changes"
Steve-Dave: Well there will be some Barry and changes coming soon, because we need more donations. It no longer just takes £10 a year to help Barry survive
Steve-Dave: It takes like... £13
Steve-Dave: Barry has to walk 5 metres to his car every day... just to go to work and earn money for DVDs and comic books
Steve-Dave: His eyesight is so bad... that he has to wear glasses. Stylish rimless glasses which cost €250
Steve-Dave: His living space is so cramped... that h had to put his workout bench in the garage meaning he doesn't really use it any more
Steve-Dave: But for just €13 a year... You can help Barry afford a DVD that he heard was good but has been out for a while so it's not as expensive as new DVDs
Steve-Dave: Please... Give generously... And help save this poor man's DVD shelf from not being completely full because it just looks weird when it's nearly full. I mean, when it's half full, that's fine. But when there's only a few gaps left... it just looks kinda sad.... y'know
Steve-Dave: Thank you
Rayanne Graff: It scares me when people refer to themselves in the third person.
Steve-Dave: It scares Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. too
Steve-Dave: Like my Grandfather, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII Esq. always said: "Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq. gets scared when people refer to themselves in the third person, and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq. promises to never do that"
Steve-Dave: And like my twin brother, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. (or Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. for short) says: "Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. doesn't like when people refer to themselves in the third person. You and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. must have gotten that from our grandfather, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq."
Rayanne Graff: You nerds crack me up.
Steve-Dave: Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. all try our best
Rayanne Graff: ... in the pants department.
