Goddammit people, if you're not watching Enemies Of Reason on More4 now get on it and stop thinking all this ridiculousness about psychics. They should be banned, or at least banned from appearing 'legitimate'. There is only one type of psychic, and that is a fraud.

Although before they do, I'm going to learn how to do cold reading, it looks a lot of fun.

Have you read "Attack of the Unsinkable Rubber Ducks"? I think you'd like it.

Looks quite interesting on Amazon, post it me and I'll post you World War Z or something.

Text me your address and you got a deal (provided I get it back after!:p)

They were on a break - Ross had every right to sleep with the woman from the copy shop.

It might surprise you that I agree with you on that.

Not as surprised as I would be if Mark quoted the post and added a similar response

Much as I hate to fall for something so attention grabbing, I'm entirely on your side there.

I don't agree with 'breaks' full stop. Either the relationship is over or it isn't. Make your mind up, and live with the consequences.

Why did you think I wouldn't?

Because you've a much stronger moral code than most.

Ugh, they should've said members' area and not member's area.

Where is the harm in it so long as people aren't being charged, though? If someone gets comfort from thinking a loved one is still watching over them, what is it to you? It's the same as religion, in fact for some people it is part of a religion, they can believe whatever they like for me so long as it doesn't do me any harm. I can't prove that any of it's fraudulent. Yes, it has been proven that the money grabbing con-artist 'mediums' are faking it, and if people are charged, that's wrong, but anyone stupid enough to pay for something they can get for free at any one of the few hundred spiritualist churches in this country then they deserve everything they get.

Because it's so open to abuse and manipulation.

Spiritualism manipulates the needy and desperate for hope.

And I bet those spiritualist churches have collections.

Chris Kamara -

All psychics are completely fraudulent if their claim is to be contacting the dead. Dead people are literally dead, i.e. you can poke them but they won't ever wake up again. There are no spirits. There are no witches that can make impossible things possible. Anything that involves paranormal activity = not real.

Claire - Darren is most certainly not my god!

I'm not arguing that it's real per se, I don't know myself and I'd never commit to a belief that there were spirits and whatnot, or even heaven and hell. I just think it brings a lot of comfort to people, and I don't think a lot of them believe it either, they're just being told what they need to hear to help them move on. A friend of my Mum's for example, she lost her son in a car accident and she was on the verge of suicide, it was only going to see a medium (at the Spiritualist Church for no fee) that helped her because it was easier to believe that he was happy where he was and that she'd see him again. How is that a bad thing? It's not harming anyone else and it's probably saving her family a lot more heartache if she topped herself. As for the collection, Alice, yes, they pass around a plate for donations, but you don't have to put in, and it's not used to pay the mediums, it's used for the upkeep of the building and to help people in the local community. We got £1,500 from them when my Mum's house was flooded, as did about 5 or 6 people on the street, they don't profit from it, at least where I live. Probably though, considering the amounts they can get from people, it needs to be better regulated...you can't stop people from believing, you can only stop those who use it all for personal gain.

Jimmy: Holy sh*t everything's Barry.
Steve-Dave: Everything's better!
Puffalump: Barrier
Steve-Dave: The Barryest it's ever been
Jimmy: I can't wait for more "Important Barry and changes"
Steve-Dave: Well there will be some Barry and changes coming soon, because we need more donations. It no longer just takes £10 a year to help Barry survive
Steve-Dave: It takes like... £13
Steve-Dave: Barry has to walk 5 metres to his car every day... just to go to work and earn money for DVDs and comic books
Steve-Dave: His eyesight is so bad... that he has to wear glasses. Stylish rimless glasses which cost €250
Steve-Dave: His living space is so cramped... that h had to put his workout bench in the garage meaning he doesn't really use it any more
Steve-Dave: But for just €13 a year... You can help Barry afford a DVD that he heard was good but has been out for a while so it's not as expensive as new DVDs
Steve-Dave: Please... Give generously... And help save this poor man's DVD shelf from not being completely full because it just looks weird when it's nearly full. I mean, when it's half full, that's fine. But when there's only a few gaps left... it just looks kinda sad.... y'know
Steve-Dave: Thank you
Rayanne Graff: It scares me when people refer to themselves in the third person.
Steve-Dave: It scares Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. too
Steve-Dave: Like my Grandfather, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII Esq. always said: "Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq. gets scared when people refer to themselves in the third person, and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq. promises to never do that"
Steve-Dave: And like my twin brother, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. (or Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. for short) says: "Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. doesn't like when people refer to themselves in the third person. You and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. must have gotten that from our grandfather, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq."
Rayanne Graff: You nerds crack me up.
Steve-Dave: Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. all try our best
Rayanne Graff: ... in the pants department.
