As far as La Liga is concerned, "No Queremos Otra Liga Escocesa".

Also, Luis Suarez IS pure class. Have watched him at Ajax over the last 3 years, without doubt the best player they've had since Wesley Sneijder and VDV. Possibly the best forward since Super Jari Litmanen. Bit of a nutcase though, he'll pick up bookings with regularity.

There's two major front runners in both leagues but the Spanish can at least hack it in Europe.

About to watch the Scottish now, as it happens. Hoping Diouf has a nightmare, but can see him being quite effective, because unfortunately, he is.

I think the issue is that Real and Barca spending is out of control, no other team can even begin to compete. Many Spanish fans are fed up with it, hence the 'we don't want another Scottish league'. I find La Liga very hard to watch these days, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion. Barca are unbelievably good however, it's not a dig at their team.

Definitely a forgone conclusion this year after Madrid's defeat last week. Watching them beat Sociedad now and they're barely trying. Ronaldo is outrageous.

The only team that can financially compete is Malaga, but the TV money is insane. I can't remember what the figures are, but Valencia are the 3rd biggest team in Spain and they get something like 10% of what Barca get.

Torres... unlucky son!

Four wins on the spin for Liverpool now. Amazing run of form considering how abject they were earlier in the season.

Chris Kamara -

They're doing a lot better now.

Chelsea looked like they were struggling to accommodate three strikers. They had better shape when Torres went off although ironically that's when Liverpool scored.

Jamie Carragher has been questioned by detectives at Stamford Bridge. He said "I didn't realise I had 50 million pounds in my back pocket"

Christy Almighty, how many 2-2 draws have Leeds had this season. Great going forward, wobbly as hell at the back. It's just like watching Brazil etc.

An alarming number of goals we concede come from the opposition attacking down our left. We haven't had a good defensive left back at the club since Tony Dorigo. Our biggest problem this season (imo) hasn't been our defence - it's that there's no one in midfield to break down attacks and the back four have often been overburdened.

Ania's dad used to play golf with Tony Dorigo. He still gets a Christmas card off him every year.

Really entertaining game yesterday. Brum deserved the win, I think. Catastrophic f*ck up for the winning goal - absolutely hilarious defending from Arsenal.

5-2. Normal service is resumed, then. Scoring for fun again but have to tighten it up at the back in a big way if they get promoted or they're gonna be absolutely torn to shreds. Shame they've not been on terrestrial TV more this season, they're a dream to watch for a neutral.

Jimmy: Holy sh*t everything's Barry.
Steve-Dave: Everything's better!
Puffalump: Barrier
Steve-Dave: The Barryest it's ever been
Jimmy: I can't wait for more "Important Barry and changes"
Steve-Dave: Well there will be some Barry and changes coming soon, because we need more donations. It no longer just takes £10 a year to help Barry survive
Steve-Dave: It takes like... £13
Steve-Dave: Barry has to walk 5 metres to his car every day... just to go to work and earn money for DVDs and comic books
Steve-Dave: His eyesight is so bad... that he has to wear glasses. Stylish rimless glasses which cost €250
Steve-Dave: His living space is so cramped... that h had to put his workout bench in the garage meaning he doesn't really use it any more
Steve-Dave: But for just €13 a year... You can help Barry afford a DVD that he heard was good but has been out for a while so it's not as expensive as new DVDs
Steve-Dave: Please... Give generously... And help save this poor man's DVD shelf from not being completely full because it just looks weird when it's nearly full. I mean, when it's half full, that's fine. But when there's only a few gaps left... it just looks kinda sad.... y'know
Steve-Dave: Thank you
Rayanne Graff: It scares me when people refer to themselves in the third person.
Steve-Dave: It scares Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. too
Steve-Dave: Like my Grandfather, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII Esq. always said: "Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq. gets scared when people refer to themselves in the third person, and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq. promises to never do that"
Steve-Dave: And like my twin brother, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. (or Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. for short) says: "Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. doesn't like when people refer to themselves in the third person. You and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. must have gotten that from our grandfather, Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq."
Rayanne Graff: You nerds crack me up.
Steve-Dave: Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XII esq., Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV.5 esq. and Professor Barrington Cornelius Smashathing XIV esq. all try our best
Rayanne Graff: ... in the pants department.
