Need moar drive space so I can download this. Liked the episode you showed me, liked what I have seen scattered about online. Just have a distinct lack of storage.

My current movie/anime/music acquiring exploits don't help matters any.

The world isn't run by weapons anymore, or energy, or money. It's run by little rabbits and zeroes, little bits of data. It's all just electrons.

Planning on starting this either this week or next. As such, I hereby leave this thread.

Season 1. I can't watch shows like that unless its from the beginning. Tried watching the first episode a few weeks ago, but I turned it off halfway through. Not because it was bad or anything, but I could tell it'd be a slow starter kinda like The Wire, and may take a few episodes to get into it. I just didn't really have the time for something like that at the time, so I left it.

However, I brought the boxsets (Season 1 & 2) from home at the weekend to the new place, so should be starting it later this week

I watched the first few episodes a while and didn't think it had much of a pull factor, but the style of it is what got me watching repeatedly. Then as Jim said, the development of the characters in time of massive change was interesting.

Don Draper is a WINNER.

Finally finished the first season. Had watched about 5 episodes, but then Sons of Anarchy season 2 came out so had to put mad Men on the back burner. So I resumed it on Tuesday and even though I only watched one episode Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, it really hooked me in last night. Finished it this morning. Slow burner indeed, but really starts pulling you in. The world you were presented with in the first episode is unraveling, threads being slowly pulled away to form holes in the lives of the characters. Amazing stuff. Was planning on watching season 3 of The Wire or maybe starting Deadwood, but after the last episodes of season 1, I'm gonna jump right into season 2. Right when I finish this sentence. This sentence which I am saying now. Period.

Season 1 spoilers:
Finding out about Don's past in the war, Campbell blackmailing Don, Don's amazing pitch about the slide projector showing pictures of his own family (amazing scene), Peggy being pregnant, then Don returning home to say he'll go to Betty's family for Thanksgiving but that they already left without him.

About 8 episodes into season 2 now. Probably take a break from it for a while before getting Season 3

Is James doing drag now? I'd better get a dress before they all sell out

Rayanne Graff: Yeah, he was the 15th person to join.

Rayanne Graff: No, it didn't; the Spam spam spam you made in 2002 is on page 105 of the Spam board.
satansrubberduck: Oh. I looked for it years ago and couldn't find it. The colour tags are (thankfully) broken.
