Marry me?

A good rule of thumb is, if you're taking anything else, even if it's only using anti-dandruff shampoo (not Head and Shoulders, prescription stuff), it's best to double up, just in case.

I've only been taking St Johns Wort for a couple of days since I ran out of citalopram and am rubbish at getting these things sorted on time (doctor has already given me one prescription when I was supposed to have had an appointment and won't do it again).

Stupid Dr Stacey with his "ooh I'm not giving you drugs when I haven't seen you in 8 months blah blah blah"

Double up. That one definitely effects contraceptive pills. Besides, you have free time now, no? Get to the doctor asap. Or just scrap the ads when it's sunny.

I'll be seeing the doctor on Friday (ie. the earliest appointment I could get when I rang last Friday)

Yup, the only thing I can find mentions oral contraception and not other contraception, but I would still ring your GP, NHS Direct (08454647) or pop into the pharmacist to double check. I wouldn't worry though, I am 99% certain that there shall be no chidlers for Lisa.

but I could have been a grandmother.

I've been bleeding on and off for about 16 days - mostly spotting but a couple of days have been heavier.

The obvious reason would be an early miscarriage BUT I've had my implant less than 2 years and haven't had sex without a condom in about 3-4 months.

Might call NHS direct

No form of contraception is 100% effective aside from not having any sex. I hope it's not a miscarriage, mind. Can the implant not cause irregular bleeding? Yup, see a GP, hope it will be OK.

Basically, I'm just mangling and regurgitating what everyone's already said.

it can and does cause irregular bleeding

mine f*cked me about in the first year, they vanished for about 6 months, then came back as, when and how they wanted, this settled down in the second year and they were pretty regular, but still either heavy, hardly anything there or gungy.

i know mine is just about dead right now but i came on a fortnight ago, spotted, went heavy, then back to spotting and off after a week.

yesterday it came back with a vengence.

so it could just be the implant messing it about, but best to check.

i've decided mine's not going back in unless the doctor says i should have it
to see what happens.

i'd rather lose some weight then have another fitted, than just have another put in now and pile more weight on

considering i checked my BMI and i'm now in the obese range( ), they might not let me have another in anyway

going to the GUM clinic today. Am hoping that speculum-based activities are kept to a minimum.

doc says I'm fine, but in far more important news, there was a woman in the same waiting room called Eileen Fallwood.

Steve-Dave: Better the devil you know, though. How many of the sensible people would ever vote for Romney?
Walt Flanagan: They're going to be non-votes, not votes for Barack.
Steve-Dave: I doubt it. I'd say that with some of the stuff Romney will come out, people could vote Barack just to prevent Romney getting in.
Walt Flanagan: Well, he's so clearly a terrible human being.
Walt Flanagan: He's going to gaff his way out of the White House, even as the President is hated from all the sides of the spectrum that aren't starry eyed.
Walt Flanagan: The GOP has gone too far towards the Stupid Bigot side of things, it may take years to get back.
Walt Flanagan: I just think people who say that Obama would have to f*ck a white woman on television to not get elected are missing the danger.
Steve-Dave: Oh I think Romney will still give Obama a run for his money. Romney flip-flops a lot. Could appeal to a wide enough base overall to run it close
oatibix: Something's happened here.
Steve-Dave: This is what happens when you leave Colin.
Steve-Dave: And I don't mean "This is what happens when you leave, Colin", I mean this is what happens when you leave Colin. I left Colin and became all sensible and sh*t
Steve-Dave: I'm an equivocating motherf*cker
Rayanne Graff: Yeah, you're sh*t. i'm not sure about sensible, though.
Jimmy: Holy sh*t everything's Barry.
Steve-Dave: Everything's better!
Puffalump: Barrier
Steve-Dave: The Barryest it's ever been
Jimmy: I can't wait for more "Important Barry and changes"
Steve-Dave: Well there will be some Barry and changes coming soon, because we need more donations. It no longer just takes £10 a year to help Barry survive
Steve-Dave: It takes like... £13
