Do you know what really grinds my gears?

Waiting two weeks to see a doctor, about a bum leg only to have said bum leg feeling almost perfect by the time you have the appointment.

And you know what else VR? Mentioning to said Doctor about depression and wanting to talk to someone about how to deal with it/treat it, only to be told to come back a week later for a double appointment.

Then when booking afore mentioned appointment to be told that nothing is available for at least a fortnight.

And that, people is what really grinds my gears.

Over to you VR.

I have now found out that the CD with the customs charge I earlier mentioned (I had a few due in from the US so wasn't sure which it was) is the one that has already cost £50

I already have an mp3 of the whole CD. Nearly Seventy quid for a hard copy is bordering on daft.

Also, lazy ebayers that take ages to post things.

This is an advert for stealing things.

Personally, I'd say it depends entirely on the laptop.

A cheap machine will be a cheap machine, desktop, laptop or otherwise..

But on the higher end of things, when high quality carbon or metal casing is used and the hardware is specced up for performance and the likes you can't really go wrong, its the sole reason I buy the machines I do. I want them to last for what I consider to be a reasonable timeframe. And also to be as capable in three years time as they were when I first bought them.

My computer cost about £600 and has slowly but very, very surely degraded over 2 years.

I like IBM ones, they seem to build them to last. I used to have one of their laptops from around 1998 that lasted until 2007. It was a brick, but it was marvellous. By the end, it had been dropped, sat on, had things spilt on it and bits fell off regularly but it still worked. I miss it.

I have a T60 now which seems to be holding up pretty well.

IBM/Lenovo make some really durable laptops. I have no idea why they last out everything, since generally they tend to be pretty average looking plastic built bricks which look no different to the equivalent competition.

I keep thinking this. (The first sentence is suitably altered for my own situation, mind.)

this phone is an absolute c*nt to use. Also main reason i'm here - my rabbit is a filthy little wh*re. She has actually had a litter of kittens, hidden them too damn well, i thought it would still be ok to put the buck out with her, she stops dead, shoves her a*se in the air & he's had a whale of a time. Then tge other bloke got out & did the same. F*cking stupid. These will still be feeding when she has the next lot stupid baby machine mentality

But you need hands to program said drum machine. You don't expect a guitarist/bassist/singer/keyboardist to work anything with buttons and things, right?

No... but then again you hardly expect a drummer too as well do you? Especially a handless one.

Steve-Dave: Better the devil you know, though. How many of the sensible people would ever vote for Romney?
Walt Flanagan: They're going to be non-votes, not votes for Barack.
Steve-Dave: I doubt it. I'd say that with some of the stuff Romney will come out, people could vote Barack just to prevent Romney getting in.
Walt Flanagan: Well, he's so clearly a terrible human being.
Walt Flanagan: He's going to gaff his way out of the White House, even as the President is hated from all the sides of the spectrum that aren't starry eyed.
Walt Flanagan: The GOP has gone too far towards the Stupid Bigot side of things, it may take years to get back.
Walt Flanagan: I just think people who say that Obama would have to f*ck a white woman on television to not get elected are missing the danger.
Steve-Dave: Oh I think Romney will still give Obama a run for his money. Romney flip-flops a lot. Could appeal to a wide enough base overall to run it close
oatibix: Something's happened here.
Steve-Dave: This is what happens when you leave Colin.
Steve-Dave: And I don't mean "This is what happens when you leave, Colin", I mean this is what happens when you leave Colin. I left Colin and became all sensible and sh*t
Steve-Dave: I'm an equivocating motherf*cker
Rayanne Graff: Yeah, you're sh*t. i'm not sure about sensible, though.
Jimmy: Holy sh*t everything's Barry.
Steve-Dave: Everything's better!
Puffalump: Barrier
Steve-Dave: The Barryest it's ever been
Jimmy: I can't wait for more "Important Barry and changes"
Steve-Dave: Well there will be some Barry and changes coming soon, because we need more donations. It no longer just takes £10 a year to help Barry survive
Steve-Dave: It takes like... £13
