Pritt's a brand http://www.prittworld.com/products/adhesives/pritt-stick.html

i still don't know where the name came from, though. i s'pose it doesn't matter much... in the scheme of things.

Ah, can't find that answer, sorry. I guess it could be the name of the inventor, a weird onomatopoeia or just a made-up word.

It's OK, Colin. You are a lovely gobbin for trying to answer it. Oh, and thanks to p*ts for answering my America/
USA question.
i was talking to the fiance (yesterday) about Colin's gender/dream question. i asked him what the biggest number of dreams he'd ever remembered (in one night) was. He said he'd only ever remembered 1. The most i've ever remembered is 4.

I think i've read about a cat living for 22 years and a dog for 31, but i can't be sure about that.

"The oldest dog that has been reliably documented was an Australian cattle-dog named Bluey. He was put to sleep at the age of 29 years and 5 months!"

"The world's oldest cat has died, two months after celebrating its 31st birthday."

Organised Confusion -

If my cat lives to 31, I'll have a mental breakdown.

i heard somewhere that (in the UK) it's illegal to put stamps on upside down & that it's treason; because of The Queen appearing on stamps. Is this true?

Does anyone know if it's possible to get surgical scalpels through non-dodgy means? And if so, can someone tell me what proper sterilizing procedures are?
p.s. hobby craft scalpels are w*nk for what I'm looking for.
Thank you

that will most likely be true. it will be something dating back to Queen Victoria's time that no other monarch gave a hoot about.

That said, there is a government group that's soled purpose is to sift through The Law and update or abolish all these silly little laws (and stuff like killing a welshman in a cathedral on a sunday witha crossbow etc)

Surgical Scalpels - gimme a few minutes on that

Stanley knives are good enough if you want something to nearly cut your finger off with when you're seven.

MiL's are never MORALLY right. But sometimes they sneak in a fact because they're so f*cking old and haggard that they were actually there when Jim the Baker was beheaded and smeared on the Town Halls' windows for defacing the Queen.

Rayanne Graff: Yeah, he was the 15th person to join.

Rayanne Graff: No, it didn't; the Spam spam spam you made in 2002 is on page 105 of the Spam board.
satansrubberduck: Oh. I looked for it years ago and couldn't find it. The colour tags are (thankfully) broken.
satansrubberduck: Odd to think it's been over a decade since I first got involved with 'Zine.
Claire: It's not odd to me since I've just had the exact same conversation with you...
